Hajduk II played against Val on Wednesday afternoon at Poljud within Third Croatian League South and won 8:0. Ivan Mastelic was one of the best players in the team, he scored 2 goals and assisted another 3. In total, in 4 official matches for Hajduk II, this season he scored 3 goals and collected 6 assists.

"We were surprised, before the match, coach told us that Val can be dangerous and that their intention is to qualify to the Second League this season. We expected a tougher match, but when we started scoring, we felt as if we are not going to stop. We had a great day while they had a horrible day".

"We were all highly motivated, from the first till the last minute, we haven't stopped when we scored 5th, 6th, 7th goal. We always wanted one more. I have never played such a match in senior football, not even friendly matches. If we continue with such games, I'm sure we will be on the top of the league".

"I haven't been in coach Pusnik's plans lately, but that is why we have a B team. I don't mind playing for Hajduk II, I always give my best in each game. I don't think this is a punishment, it will instead help me get back among first team players. Coach Pusnik is followjng our matches, I hope I will play for the first team soon" concluded Mastelic.
