An interesting, but intense two-hour training took place this afternoon under supervision of the head coach Željko Kopić along with his assistants. On the second day of preparations in Kupres, left winger Hysen Memolla joined his teammates, after a bit longer rest for international games in late May and early June. Despite the weather forecasts, it was not raining but it was a windy afternoon and it seemed that the temperature was below the actual 12 degrees Celsius.
After the morning's strength training, on the second half of the ninth day of the summer preparation, Hajduk had a training session focusing on technical-tactical performance. Divided into several groups on different parts of the pitch, they practiced possession in tight spaces to improve choosing the best solution under pressure. The training session ended with a game on two goals.
The ninth day of pre-season preparations is completed and in exactly one month Hajduk will play the first official match. Namely, on July 26, Hajduk will play Europa League QR2 home game against the winner of the QR1 tie between Finnish Ilves and Bulgarian Slavia Sofia. On Friday, June 29, Hajduk is playing the first home game of the new season, an international friendly match at Poljud against the Polish team Gornik Zabrze, kick - off 19:50.
