Hajduk's new Georgian signing, Giorgi Iluridze, will have to wait a while for his national team debut. National team coach Temuri Ketsbaia will have to make do without the attacker's services in the home games against France and Finland. Iluridze sustained an ankle injury while playing for Dila against Rapid on Thursday. His recovery began already on Friday at Poljud. Hajduk's physio Domeniko Sisgoreo worked with him on Saturday as well. Considering he needs a few more days to recover, traveling back to Georgia would be pointless as he could certainly not be ready in time for the France match.

Giorgi thus remains at Poljud and will be there to meet his new teammates on Sunday night. He will then train together with them before being officially unveiled Monday morning as a new Hajduk player.

Marko Bencun has also been removed from the national team - the Croatian U21 team, that is. He injured his knee during the Osijek game, and is set to miss some training sessions in the days to come.
