The new attacker, Portuguese Hugo Almeida, was today officially presented at Poljud. An experienced 33-year-old striker was handed Hajduk jersey number 10 by the Sports Director Mario Branco.

Almeida will immediately be at disposal to the coach Joan Carrillo, he is fully fit and played the last match in the UEFA Europa League Play-off against Club Brugge a week ago, securing placement for the UEL Group Stage for his former club AEK Athens.

He has already played at Poljud once, in a friendly match for Werder in 2008, where he scored for the final 2:2. He has already played against Dinamo Zagreb in 2007, in the Champions League QR3, when his Werder won 2:1 and Almeida scored a goal.
