Team lead by coach Damir Burić made history. This is the first time that Hajduk had a streak of eight consecutive first league's games without conceding a goal!
In no less than 90 years of playing in different national championships, this is the generation of Hajduk with such a record. So far, the record holders were national champions in seasons 1973-74 and 1992, with seven consecutive games without conceded goal.
This season, Hajduk conceded its last goal in minute 89 in the game against Lokomotiva on August 10. Since then, streak was impressive: Rijeka 0-0, Osijek 3-0, Inter 2-0, Zagreb 1-0, Dinamo 0-0, Split 2-0, Istra 1961 3-0 i Slaven Belupo 1-0.
In total, twenty players participated in this success, with four of them (Goran Milović, Lovre Kalinić, Nikola Vlašić and Josip Juranović) with all eight appearances.
Beside them, here are the others (with appearances in parentheses):
Hrvoje Milić, Jefferson de Jesus Santos, Andrija Balić (seven), Mijo Caktaš, Julián Alberto Velázquez, Fran Tudor, Tino Sven Sušić, Maksim Bilyi, Elvir Maloku, Anton Maglica (six), Zoran Nižić, Ante Roguljić (four), Franck Ohandza Zoa (three), Tomislav Kiš, Tonći Mujan and Marko Bencun (two).
