Haris Bukva, a midfielder aged twenty-five, joined Hajduk today! This former member of the Austria U21 national team was born in Foča in Bosnia. He has over seventy appearances for championship-winning Sturm of Graz. Having featured nine times in Europa League group games, and ten more in the qualifying rounds for Continental competitions, Bukva will make one of the most experienced Hajduk players. He joins Hajduk from Sturm.

He has played in the Austrian league since 2005, and was featured in the U21 national team 13 times.

“It is a great honor for me to sign this contract with Hajduk,” the new signing told us yesterday. “I grew up in Austria and have only ever played there, but I know a great deal about Hajduk. I hope to show coach Igor Tudor what I can do, and blend in with my new team.”

Haris will not be joining the team immediately. While Hajduk are on the road in Slavonia, he will make the move from Austria to Split, and is set to be introduced, and meet his teammates, on Monday.
