Midfielder Hamza Barry (22) and defensive player Hysen Memolla (24) will stay in Hajduk! The Club decided to keep these players for the next season and the agreement was officially reached.

Hamza signed a contract with Hajduk for three more years and changed his status from a player on loan from Apollon Limassol (Cyprus) to a player of Hajduk.

In the past season, this offensive midfielder collected 30 appearances and played 2234 minutes.

Hamza is also Gambia national team player with 12 appearances for his national team so far. At the moment, he is with the Gambia team for their next match against Benin on June 11,  in the qualifications for the Africa Cup of Nations. He is satisfied that his career will continue in Hajduk.

"I'm happy to stay in Hajduk. I really enjoy playing and living in Split. I look forward to the new season and I believe that we will make further general progress" said Hamza.

In his Italy, Hysen Memolla is resting for the next season. He remains the left back of Hajduk. The 24-year-old player has extended the contract with Hajduk for two more years. Last season, he played 2521 minutes in 28 games.

Memolla was also pleased with his stay at Poljud.

"I am very happy to have stayed in Split. I have repeatedly said that I am honored for having the opportunity to wear Hajduk's jersey, to be part of this great club, to be a member of a numberous Hajduk family. I believe we will be even better in the new season and take another step forward, both in Europe and in the national league. Last season, we lacked only a bit more of luck to enter the group stage of the Europa League. We will therefore give our best to cheer up all our fans in the new season. As always, I will give my best in every training and every match for Hajduk" Memolla said.

He looks forward to the beginning of pre-season preparations on June 16, 2017 and will soon return to Split, which, he says, is a delightful place to live.

"In Split, I really feel nice, as if I'm at home. It's a nice town with great people who live for the Club, and I hope there is a very important year ahead for us all" concluded Memolla.
