On Sunday, kick - off 20:00, Hajduk will meet a newly promoted First League team NK Varaždin on their stadium Anđelko Herjavec in Varaždin. The next Hajduk's opponent opened the season with a 2:1 loss to Rijeka at Rujevica stadium in Rijeka.
Hajduk's former captain Dario Jertec is now a Varaždin captain and another former Hajduk' captain Goran Jozinović has also recently joined this team from Varaždin.
