As we have already announced, in January, Hajduk will play five international friendly matches in Turkey. Their opponents will be Romanian Dinamo Bucharest (13.01.), Swiss Grasshopper (19.01.), Ukrainian Shakhtar Donetsk (22.01.), Hungarian Ujpest (24.01.) and Belarusian Shakhtyor Saligorsk (25.01.).

Hajduk has already met with four of the above-mentioned teams in official or friendly matches throughout history.

Sušić scored to Ujpest

Hajduk played with Újpest only once and not so long ago. In June 2016, the friendly match, also in the training camp, but in Austrian Steyr, ended without a winner. The only scorer for Hajduk coached by Marijan Pušnik was Tino Sušić.

Five decades ago against the team from Donetsk

With Shakhtar Donetsk, Hajduk also played only once, also in a friendly game, but more than five decades ago. At Stari Plac in November 1962, Šahtar celebrated 2:1, a the only goal for Hajduk then coached by Florian Matekal scored Stjepan Ilić.

Hajduk played with Grasshoppers most often

In January, Hajduk and Grasshopper will meet for the fifth time in the history of the two clubs. The first match was played in Zurich in September 1957, it was a friendly match and our team was trained by Frane Matošić, while Joško Pleško and Joško Vidosevic scored for a 2:2 draw. Another friendly match took place in July 2001, with Sempione Cup Hajduk being defeated 4: 1 by the host, while the only goalscorer under coach Nenad Gracan was Mate Bilić. The next two matches were in the first round of the UEFA Cup in September and October 2003. In Zürich it ended 1: 1, Hajduk was led by coach Zoran Vulić, and the scorer was Mato Neretljak. There were no goals at Poljud in the second-leg.

Beautiful memories with Romanians ...

With Dinamo from Bucharest, Hajduk has played three times so far. The first two matches were played in July and August 2010 in the 3rd QR of the Europa League. In Bucharest, the hosts first celebrated 3:1, and Marin Tomasov scored for coach Stanko Poklepovic's team. In the second-leg, Hajduk celebrated 3:0, thanks to Ante Vukušić, Mario Brkljača and Tomasov. Half a year later, these opponents played a friendly match, also on the training camp in Belek, it ended in 1:1 draw, and the scorer for Goran Vučević's squad was Dinko Trebotić.

With Shakhtyor from Saligorsk, Hajduk will meet in January in Turkey for the first time in history.
