Head coach Zoran Vulić plans to have two training sessions with his team today, as a part of preparation for the next match Hajduk - Rijeka, this Sunday at Poljud, kick - off 15:00 (behind closed doors). The first one took place this morning on the training pitch, it was mostly strength training, while in the afternoon, the team will work on match tactics.

Mijo Caktaš will miss the Sunday's match because of three accumulated yellow cards, after he got the third one in the last match against Lokomotiva. Josip Posavec got injured in the match against Lokomotiva, while Hamza Barry and Dino Beširović are still recovering from injuries.

It will be the 79th time that Hajduk and Rijeka are playing First Croatian League match. Hajduk won 30 times, Rijeka 27, while 21 matches ended in a draw. It will also be their 39th match played at Poljud in the same period. In those matches, Hajduk came out as a winner 17 times, Rijeka 10, while there was no winner after 11 matches. Their last encounter took place at Rujevica stadium in Rijeka on August 12, 2018 and ended in 1:1 draw, just like their last match at Poljud, on March 31, 2018.
