The First Division Club Association has published official statistics which show that Hajduk officially has the youngest team in the MAXtv Prva Liga! The average age of all the players who have featured for Hajduk so far is only 21,9. The Whites are the only team in top-tier Croatian football where the average age is under 22.
Igor Tudor's (young) men are followed by Osijek with 22 years of age. Hrvatski Dragovoljac and Lokomotiva are at 23, while the most experience can be found in Rijeka where the average age is 25, and RNK Split with 26.
Interestingly enough, the youngest of all Hajduk teams was fielded in the most recent game at Osijek's Gradski Vrt (0:1). Igor Tudor opted for a team whose average age was only 21,2. Even the season's most experienced hajduk is well below the league average. In two of this season's games - the 2:1 Maksimir win versus Lokomotiva and the 1:0 win against Istra in Pula - the Whites were on average 22,5 years old.
