Hajduk arrived in Sofia last night by Bulgaria Air Embraer ERJ-190STD charter after 61 minutes of a very enjoyable flight from Resnik. Coach Željko Kopić chose 20 players for this season's first international away game, the QR2 second-leg match against Slavia from Sofia. The match will be played on Thursday at Vasil Levski Stadium, after Hajduk beat Slavia 1:0 in Split, thanks to Ahmed Said's goal.

Hajduk chose the same base as last year when the team also came to Sofia to play against Levski and reached the next round of competition in which they played against Brondby, whom they also beat (a total of 2:0) to reach the play-off stage and the matches against Everton. Just a little more than a year later, Hajduk arrived in Sofia with the same result from Split as last year at the same stage of the competition. Last year, former coach Joan Carrillo and his team celebrated in Dugopolje 1:0 thanks to Marko Futacs goal from a penalty kick, while the second-leg match was played behind closed doors at Georgi Asparuhov stadium, the home team was leading 1:0 but then Franck Ohandza and Ante Erceg scored two goals in the last ten minutes to reverse the result and confirm a well-deserved placement in the next round.

As last year, they arrived to their base on Tuesday night, on Wednesday they will have meetings and talks about tomorrow's match, in the afternoon the official pre-match press conference and then both teams will have their official training sessions, Hajduk at 19:00 local time (18:00 CET), at the kick-off time of tomorrow's match and on the main pitch of Vasil Levski stadium.
