
Hajduk II, leading team of the Third Croatian League South is in the final week of preparation before this weekend's restart of the competition. On Sunday, March 05, 2017, they are playing the first round of the spring part of the season and they are hosting NK Junak from Sinj at Poljud, kick off 12:30.
During the 40-days long preparations, they played nine friendly matches and achieved four wins, three defeats and two draws. They scored 16 goals and conceded nine. In their final test, a friendly match against NK Sibenik, they won 2:1 (Tonio Teklić and Ivan Prtajin).
During the winter transfer window, some changes were made in the squad so the coach Lozo along with coaching team had the task to fit in new players and help them in adapting the style of play that has led his team to the top of the table. Marijan Budimir, a former U-19 coach joined them as replacement for Vik Lalic, current member of the first team coaching staff.
A few players have come to Hajduk II and they should further improve the quality of the currently leading team on their way to the Second League. Some new players from the Football Academy of Hajduk have also joined Hajduk II. Tomislav Mrkonjic, Mario Cetina, Mario Lovre Vojkovic, Mate Suto, Marin Fadic, Ardit Deliu, Patrik Gujic and Jerko Separovic have been transferred to Hajduk with the intention to play for Hajduk II.
Some players from the first part of the season have found engagements in other clubs, while several of them are sent on loans.
During the first half of the season, Hajduk II presented an excellent game and deservedly took the title of best team of the first half of the season. Their goals remains the same, it is their intention to preserve the leading position in the Third League South, get promoted to the Second Croatian League and further develop young players.
