
Hajduk's second senior team led by coach Marko Lozo deservedly holds a leading position in the Third Division South with 35 points. Throughout first half-season, they presented an excellent game and deservedly took the title of best team on the season winter break. It's a big improvement in comparison with the previous season, when Hajduk II before leaving for winter break was ranked only 9th with 22 points.
This is a victory of Hajduk's youth too. The oldest player in the team is only 21 years old and the average age of the team is only 20.2, which gives even greater significance to their success.
After 17 rounds, they achieved 11 wins, two draws and four defeats. At home, they have six wins and two defeats in 8 matches, while on the away matches, in five out of nine games, they took all three points, while two matches ended in a draw and they lost two.
Hajduk II is by far the most efficient team in the league with 43 scored and only 15 conceded goals in the current season. Average goals scored are as many as 2.5 per game, and conceded 0.9. In comparison, at the end of the first half-season 2015/16, goal difference was plus 4 (24:20).
Number of goals scored in the first half is 16 while in the second half, Hajduk II is more efficient with 27 goals, of which 12 from 76th to 90th minute.
A total of 15 players scored and the top scorer is 18-year-old Deni Juric, who in October scored 10 goals. He is followed by Ivan Mastelic with seven and Robert Jandrek with six goals.
In the half-season, a total of 32 players played for Hajduk II, of whom 12 have played in more than 50% of the matches. Most regular among them were captain Zvonimir Milic, Josip Jozic, Robert Jandrek and Marko Pejic who collected 15 appearances. Captain Milic played the most minutes (1328), followed by Jozic (1245).
