Ahead of this morning's training on the island of Korcula, Hajduk lighted a candle in front of the mural of its legendary player Ante Zanetic Luli.

On this occasion, Hajduk was greeted by the residents of Blato and Zanetic's sister Katja Vlatko.

Ante Zanetić Luli was a legendary striker of Hajduk, a member of the Golden generation of the 1950's, who, with the Yugoslav national team, won the gold medal at the Olympics in Rome held in 1960 and silver medal at the European Championships, held the same year in Paris, wherefore he was included in the Best team of the world.

It was a selection made by esteemed football magazine "World Soccer" and Zanetić found himself in the team with greatest players, such as Pele, Di Stefano, Puskas etc. This team has been preserved on the mural that was made in Zanetic's honor n his home town Blato, Korcula.

The mural was organized and implemented by Torcida from Blato, with whole-hearted support and approval of the locals, as well as Luli's sister Katja.

By the choice of World Soccer, the Best team in the world in 1960 was: Gyula Grosics (Hungary), Orvar Bergmark (Sweden), Nilton Dos Santos (Brazil), Martin Verges (Spain), Jose Santamaria (Spain), Ante Zanetić (Yugoslavia) , Pele (Brazil), Ferenc Puskas (Hungary), Julinho (Brazil), Alfredo Di Stefano (Spain), Francisco Gento (Spain).

Zanetic was born in 1936 in Blato, and passed away in late 2014 in Wollongong, Australia.

He was a midfielder and played for Hajduk till the summer of 1961, when he emigrated from Yugoslavia. He played 254 matches for Hajduk and scored 41 goals. After emigration, he played in Belgium for Club Brugge. From Belgium, he moved to Australia, where he briefly coached FC Croatia from Sydney.

Zanetić played for a national team of Yugoslavia, as a player of Hajduk, from 1959 to 1960, in which period he played 15 matches and scored two goals. He made his debut against Germany in a friendly match in Hannover, on December 20, 1959 (1:1), and he said goodbye to the national team on the Olympic Game finals in Rome, on September 10, 1960, in the match against Denmark (3:1).

He carries the Olympic gold medal. He competed at the European Championship in France in 1960, where he won the silver medal and participated the finals, when the national team of the Soviet Union beatYugoslavia by 2:1.
