Hajduk signed a Cooperation Agreement with Slavia Prague on Tuesday at Poljud.
On behalf of Hajduk, our dear guests from Slavia were welcomed by the President of the Board, Mr Marin Brbic, Sports Director Goran Vucevic and Marketing and Sales Direcor Aljosa Basic.
Slavia was represented by Mr Jiri Simana, club owner, David Trunda, General Director, Jiri Plisek, Youth Academy Director and Michael Saran, club's business partner.
"It is a great pleasure to sign this Cooperation Agreement with Slavia as we come from the same sports family, with the difference that they are 19 years older club. Fabijan Kaliterna and other Croatian students in Prague founded our club there and we are now starting a cooperation with Slavia that includes all age categories, from the first team to Youth Academy" said the President Brbic.
Jiri Simane said:
"We are happy for having opportunity to come to Poljud, Hajduk's history started in a nice restaurant in Prague, where I also went quite often as a student.
We highly estimate Hajduk and they are better than Slavia in some aspects. Hajduk develops players for great European clubs and we are not yet able to do that. We support the idea of cooperation between our Youth Academies, coach exchange and first team players' loans."
Jiri Plisek invited Hajduk's youth teams to the tournament in Prague this March on which clubs such as Juventus, Manchester City and Shangai are going to participate too.
As a memory of the new cooperation, Hajduk gave to the guests a panel of photos from the celebration of 100 years of Hajduk and the guests visited our Thophy halls, where the Presidents Marin Brbic and Jiri Simana took a photo next to the jersey from Hajduk vs Slavia match that was played at Poljud in 2011, on the occasion of Hajduk's 100th birthday.
