On Saturday, kick - off 17:30, Hajduk will host Gorica in the third match that these two teams are going to play this season. On one occasion Gorica won, on August 19, 2018 in Split (0:2), while on November 04, 2018, these teams shared points in a 1:1 draw in Velika Gorica. In the first game, Hajduk's coach was Željko Kopić and in the second Zoran Vulić.

Farouk Miya and Łukasz Zwoliński scored for Gorica in the first match, while in the second Iyayi Atiemwen scored for the host and Jairo for Hajduk. 

Gorica is currently holding the fifth place and has one point more than Hajduk. In the first three round of the second half, they beat Rijeka at Rujevica 1.3, lost from Slaven Belupo in Koprivnica 2:0 and drew 2:2 with Inter Zaprešić at home. Hajduk, on the other hand beat Osijek away 0:1, then Lokomotiva at Poljud 2:1, while the match in Rijeka ended without a winner.

In the next match, Hajduk can't count on Hamza Barry after he accumulated three yellow cards, while Gorica will play without Martin Maloča for the same reason.
