Adam Gyurcso scored an amazing goal from a free kick for Hajduk's 1:0 lead against Istra 1961, thus announcing a great match at Aldo Drosina stadium. He scored the upper right angle, which was indefensible for the home team's goalkeeper. This was his sixth goal for Hajduk after he joined during the last transfer window.
"The whole team played an excellent match, but that is the minimum of what we could do after an unexpected defeat by Rudeš. From the very beginning, we controlled the course of the events on the field, in some situations we reacted very well and we must be proud of our performance. However this is only one game and we have to continue this way in the next one against Osijek" Gyurcso said.
The following two First Division games will be the last ones in this season and after that, Hajduk will end the season with the Croatian Cup final against Dinamo in Vinkovci.
"It's important that we go step by step, we always want to win. Currently, we must regenerate and focus on Osijek only."
Adam invites all fans to come to Poljud on Sunday. Namely, to beat the record of the average number of spectators at Poljud since Croatia's First League, which dates back to 1998/99, on Sunday we should have at least 8,650 supporters.
"I would like to invite them to come and repeat a miraculous atmosphere as it was in the previous games at Poljud. The match against Osijek is very important to us and therefore I invite fans to come support us because it is the last match this season at Poljud. I hope we will all celebrate again on Sunday and that we will set the new record number of spectators at our stadium" concluded Hajduk's winger.
