Jairo scored his fourth goal in the current football season this afternoon at Poljud. Hajduk beat Varaždin 2:0 and he scored the first goal, in the 21st minute, while Darko Nejašmić set the final result in the 65th. Previously, Jairo scored three championship goals and one Cup goal.
"We had many chances to score, we deserved this victory and I think that we played very good and smart this afternoon. Varaždin was very good in blocking our attempts but later on they changed their tactics and tried to attack, but we didn't let them. This victory is very important to us before the upcoming international break and after the game in Pula with which we were not satisfied at all. This is important boost for the future, now we will get a chance to refresh during the break, we will additionally train and keep the already started processes" said Jairo after the game with Varaždin.
