It's already the beginning of the second half of the summer break for Hajduk players and in ten days the team will start preparations for the new season. Coach Joan Carrillo announced the beginning of the preparations on June 16. After introductory tests and medical examinations, Hajduk squad will at first train in Split and some training sessions will be held in Dugopolje as well (while the U-19 teams will play at the main pitch) and on 26 June they will go to Pohorje, Hajduk's usual summer training camp in Slovenia. In less than two weeks in Slovenia, they will continue training and play several friendly matches.

Coach Carrillo has commented the upcoming period.

"I can't wait for a reunion. We have ended the season in positive tone, but new challenges await us. I believe in continuous work, I believe in this team and I am confident that we will be even better in the new season. Unlike winter preparations, so far, I'm already familiar with the team and my ideas are better accepted, so it will be easier for us than when I came to Hajduk" said the coach.

He is pleased that contracts have been extended with the midfielder Hamza Barry and left back Hysen Memolla.

"This is another confirmation of what management and sport director Mario Branco emphasizes, and that is to try to maintain continuity and stability in the team. I'm happy with the players I have, but of course, as every coach I have nothing against further strengthening the roaster. A good player is absolutely welcome to our team in this and every subsequent transfer window" added the coach. 

The team will return to Split on July 8. Meanwhile, we will learn Hajduk's opponent in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. The draw in Nyon is scheduled for June 19, and the first QR2 match on July 13. The first match in the domestic championship is on July 16.
