Hajduk youngster Elvir Maloku has been included on a list of 11 of Europe's best young strikers (generations 1993 through 1997) - according to Italy's CORRIERE dello SPORT. Maloku, born 1996, started turning heads early on, although he was still playing at the U16 level up until a few months ago. Hajduk snatched him from Rijeka this summer, together with the younger but just as talented brother Trojan - and he was immediately snapped up by head coach Igor Tudor.
Elvir is one of Hajduk's brightest jewels. He plays for the Croatian U-17 team, which will be playing in the World Cup in the United Arab Emirates starting October 17.
Maloku is Croatia's sole attacker in this list of Europe's forty brightest talents. The other three are all midfielders - Inter's Mateo Kovačić, and Alen Halilović and Ante Čorić of Dinamo Zagreb.
