Hajduk qualified to the Croatian Cup quarterfinals after they beat Šibenik at Šubićevac 2.1. Hajduk won only at the end of the second half of extra time, when Jurić scored the winning goal, after the regular time ended in 1:1 draw.

"It was a very tough match, we had many chances but the ball simply didn't want to enter Šibenik's goal. We were much better team, we played better but we conceded an early goal and then we had to come from behind to win, which is never easy in Šibenik. In the Cup, the most important thing is to qualify to the next round and we managed it, however an even more demanding match against Gorica in the championship is awaiting us this weekend" said among other things head coach Zoran Vulić after the Cup match in Šibenik.
