At the beginning of the pre-season preparations, coach Siniša Oreščanin held a press conference at Poljud and said:

Mijo Caktaš and Ismajli will join the preparations on June 21 so that they can take some rest after the international duty. They will start training in Slovenia. As far as Posavec and Bradarić are concerned, we will make a decision depending on what happens at Euro U-21".
