
On Monday afternoon, Hajduk had a first training session with new head coach Zeljko Kopic. The 40-year-old Croatian coach was presented this morning at a press conference at Poljud, while in the afternoon he took his squad for the first training session on main pitch. The new coaching staff includes his assistants Zlatko Basic and Toni Golem, goalkeeping coach Tihomir Bulat and fitness coach Jakov Previsic. It's interesting to remember that coach Golem spent 11 years as an Academy player of Hajduk, while Basic played for Hajduk for four years.
Ahmed Said Said has joined the first team again, while captain Zoran Nizic has returned from international duty, after Croatia qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Toma Basic and Petar Bosancic are still with the Croatia U-21 squad as well as Ardian Ismajli, who is with Kosovo U-21 and will start training on Thursday. Franck Ohandza will train from Tuesday.
Kopic will make a debut against Istra 1961 on Sunday in Pula, kick - off 19:00.
