Ahead of the winter break, coach Zeljko Kopic talks about his impressions after a bit more than a month as Hajduk's head coach, the matches, biggest improvements that he achieved and his plans for the future playing style of Hajduk's first team.
"My biggest wish is that Hajduk has a recognisable playing style and be ready to dominate. My intention is that we play attacking football so that we can impose our style of play at any stadium where we play. When I came to Hajdukl, I knew what I can expect, this is a big club with big ambitions and rich, successful history. I'm positively surprised by everything, everyone is supporting and positive and it means a lot. I would like to particularly emphesize the away matches against Osijek and Rijeka, we qualified to the Cup semi-finals and finally managed to beat Rijeka. The last match against Inter was also very important, we scored five goals and it is great to see everyone happy before the winter break, it makes me think positively. The team was great in the last six matches, we have to improve our game, we are already working on it and we will continue improving it during the winter training camp. We will start training in Split, then we go to Turkey and return to Split, where we will end winter preparations. We have already arranged a few friendly games and it is important that the team continues the season successfully".
