Hajduk's first team ended the third week of preparation for the new season with the match against Rudar, which was an opportunity for a brief conversation with coach Željko Kopić. He expressed his satisfaction with the way the team has made the current preparation and pointed out that he had seen many positive things so far.

"We finished the third week of preparation, there are quite a lot of training sessions behind us and we played two matches at home and two in this central part of preparation in Slovenia. We used 22 players against Vareya and Rudar, it is important that there are no injuries and everyone got their chance" Kopic said and then commented the match with Rudar, which ended in a 1: 1 draw.

"We have created a huge number of opportunities against Rudar, we lacked a bit of concentration in the final third, but it is clear to me that at this moment we have no freshness to score dfrom each chance that we create. I am generally satisfied with the way we have played these two games, but clearly there is still plenty of room for improvement".

He especially commended the approach of young players who have joined the first team for pre-season preparations.

"They work well, I told that everyone will get a chance, and in the end we will see who will deserve to join the first team. One of our main goals is to develop young players and I'm happy with their engagement, both through training and preparations, as well as in these games in which they participated".

The new President of Hajduk Jasmin Huljaj arrived in Slovenia just before the game with Rudar.

"With Saša Bjelanović I'm collaborating on a daily basis, we now have the President with whom I'm going to share each information that he needs to know about the first team and together we will make the decisions that we think are best for the club" concluded head coach.
