Coach Zeljko Kopic's team won the seventh out of their last eight matches (one draw). It was his first derby as Hajduk's coach, first victory in the derby, sixth away win... great statistics of the period in which he took over the team as the head coach. Hajduk played a great match from the kick - off till the last minute and won the match thanks to Franck Ohandza's goal. It is particularly important win because of the fact that it was achieved on the away derby. For the second time in only 10 months, around 3000 supporters of Hajduk chanted and celebrated after the match at Maksimir.
At his ost-match press conference, coach Kopic said:
"I would like to thank everyone for congratulations. We entered the match in the right way, we blocked Dinamo's attack. Only Soudani had one chance in the first half, which Karlo Letica saved. At the half-time, we determined that we are playing well from the defensive aspect of game, but that we need to become more concrete in attack. So it was. Although it was risky. In the end, we played a good game and well deserved these three points".
