On Saturday, Hajduk and Rijeka are playing the derby of the 24th round of the MAXtv First League. Rijeka is currently the leading team in the League. Coach Joan Carrillo announced the match at the press conference on Friday afternoon.

"I know what kind of matchit will be, I heard all about the Adriatic derbies and I invite all fans to support us tomorrow. Statistics does not work in our favor, I know for a bad series against Rijeka, but the statistics does not play a game tomorrow and we have our chances as well. This is the Adriatic derby, both teams are going to give their best to win, the winner will be decided by details. The match will probably be hard, and we hope that we will be closer to win it" said Carillo.

There was criticism of the poor performance at the beginning of the second part of the season:

"I understand that journalists are critical and that the match in Osijek was not good, but we left it behind and we have turned to Rijeka".

Coach Carrillo cannot count on injured players Juranovic, Terziev and Kozulj, who will not be ready for this match.
