Hajduk celebrated in the away match against Sibenik 1:0 and qualified for the Cup quarter - finals. Andre Fomitschow scored the winning goal in the 33rd minute from a free kick awarded to Hajduk after Perica Sare fouled Edin Sehic, for which he was sent off.
After the match, coach Joan Carrillo said:
"I'm not satisfied because we didn't decide the winner of the match earlier, we should have scored a goal in the first twenty minutes. We came to win and knew that it will be a tough match. And it was. When we took a lead and had one player more, I expected it will be easier, but altogether, it was not bad either. That is, we stopped them, but as far as our actions are concerned, we had aspired too much to individual ideas and that was our mistake. With more determination, we could have ended this earlier. Most importantly, we qualified for the next round, we came to win, that's what we did".
