Hajduk was defeated in their second international friendly match on the pre-season camp in Slovenia. They lost 1:0 from Ukrainian team Zorya Luhansk. Hajduk had some good opportunities to score, but lacked precision in the attempts.
"We played well with the ball, we wanted to keep high lines, not only defense but the whole team. We have built the game from the beginning of the match and we have to continue this way, but first of all, we have to improve offensive game that from today's match. We were good till the last 30 meters from the opposing goal. Zorya is a good team, but we also had a good chance of scoring a goal" said coach Carrillo after the match.
He is pleased with some things, but he is aware that certain segments of the game need to be improved by the start of the new season.
"We have to try different things to make it possible to correct and improve them until the first official match. The idea is to build offensive game. I am satisfied, especially in the segments of the game where we controlled possession. We conceded a goal from set piece and that's what we have to work on. It's all normal, we're preparing for the match on July 13, 2017. I have reasons to be satisfied, but I'm aware of what was not good and we will work on it. This was a training match, we'll learn the lessons out of it".
