Joan Carrillo's squad won the final training match before the start of the season. Hajduk celebrated against Krsko 2:0, and Ante Erceg and Nikola Vlasic scored goals in the first half.
"We played two systems in this game and I think we've succeeded. We created a large number of opportunities in the first half, we had control of the game, possession and mobility in the game without the ball. We made quite a lot of technical mistakes. In the second half, we continued with the initiative and created a lot of chances, but we didn't score. All in all, this was a good match for testing tactical variants before the start of the season" said the coach after the match and continued:
"The team is physically ready for the new season and for the first Europa League match, as well as the start of the championship. I'm happy that we created a great number of chances, although the opposing team was not at our level. The idea was to test all players in this game and we finally succeeded with it. The plan was to give half of every half time to each of our strikers and I told it to them before the game".
The coach was pleased with preparations, the team worked very hard and intensely trained for a start of a new season and the match against Levski.
"We have several new players that we managed to adapt to the system and the philosophy of our game. Our physical preparations were at a very high level, which is why I am very satisfied. It was not easy, but this is the way we want to succeed. The team is ready for Levski".
