This season, Hajduk promoted many young players, most of which are 20 - years - old or younger but they became crucial for Hajduk's game and results.
These young talents and a few more experienced players are in average 22,2 years old and they already managed to qualify to UEFA Europa League qualifications, three rounds before the season ends.
Among Hajduk youngsters, Nikola Vlasic, Fran Tudor, Josip Juranovic and Elvir Maloku have played the most.
Nikola Vlasic had to end the season earlier due to injury but this season he collected 34 caps, scored two goals and collected 10 assists. This 18-year old attacking midfielder was a regular starter before the innjury and was among the starters in 33 matches.
Fran Tudor has 41 caps this season, out of which 40 as a starter. He scored five goals plus seven assists and his great performance for Hajduk promoted him to Croatian U-21 team.
Josip Juranovic is a 20-year old midfielder who played in 36 matches due to his versatility. He scored one goal and added six assists this season.
In the current football season, Elvir Maloku played 35 matches and collected 1527 minutes for the first team. He scored three goals and added three asssists.
Our former player, 18 - year old Andrija Balic collected 26 caps before his transfer to Italian club Udinese. Ante Roguljic played 25 matches for Hajduk, he scored two goals and has three assists.
In the second half of the season, many other young players became regular starters, such as Ivan Mastelic, Anthony Kalik, Lorenco Simic, Frane Vojkovic, while others such as Ivo Grbic, Josip Basic and Tonci Mujan have even earlier played for the first team.
All of them are young talents, Kalik and Toma Basic are only 18 years old, while the others are 19 and 20-years ols.
Among the current first team players, seven are under 20 and another seven are 20 years old.
Therefore, this team coached by Damir Buric has a great potential and there are many reasons to hope for a bright future of Hajduk.
