"We can't have any influence on a draft. The only thing we can do is to prepare as good as possible and be in a good shape at the season's start. It's the only way to meet all the challenges lying in front of us," said Hajduk coach Damir Burić after new season schedule of the MAXtv First League had been published. First Hajduk's match will be a derby against Dinamo at Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.

Hajduk first team arrived to Pohorje, mountain near Maribor, Slovenia, for a week long preparation camp.

"We had very well first week of practices at Poljud. We passed all the tests, and according to results we will individualize programs and working groups," said Burić before departure to Slovenia.

The first test match will be against Domžale on Wednesday, and Burić says that team will practice twice a day, to find a system that fits this team the best.

Tino Sven Sušić and Lovre Kalinić will join later, due to their duties in national teams of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia.

"They are important players. I'm confident that Kalinić will play an important role both in Hajduk and Croatia. Our goal is to make him a standard Croatia's goalkeeper, and to inherit Pletikosa and Subašić' position.

On the other hand, Burić said that Artem Milevskyi's injury is serious, and he will work individually with a separate program, which will keep him away from the team. Coach Burić said he is very pleased with Marko Pejić as the left back, and that some players reacted good on positions they don't usually play.

"We want that incoming players would be a foundation for our young players. I hope this will make situation easier for our youth. I am pleased with both the roster, and the way they did the first phase of preparations. I hope they will keep up with such rhythm in Slovenia, too," said head coach Damir Burić.
