Hajduk well deserved the three points from today's home game with Varaždin that took place at Poljud stadium. It was the sixth consecutive home win by which the will stay on top of the HT First League table. This season, Hajduk has taken the maximum 18 points at home so far. Head coach Damir Burić was satisfied after the match. At his post-match press conference, he said:
"Today we showed our willingness to win this home game, which was not as easy as it might have seemed to the spectators. Varaždin is a good and tough opponent. Today, we showed good game both in defensive part and in offensive creation, we had many chances to score, we dominated and it's a pity that we didn't realize many of our chances. I was also not happy that I had to substitute Nejašmić, Hamza and Jradi because of injuries. I hope that their injuries are not too serious"..
