Hajduk lost from Osijek 1:0 and after the match head coach Damir Burić commented the match:
"I suppose this must have been an interesting game for all those who watched it, there were many chances on both sides. In the first half we made too many individual mistakes, in general we made too many mistakes to come out as winners this evening. We played better in the second half, we had our chances to score but the ball stayed outside the net, Osijek's goalkeeper was also very good and we can now regret that we have not managed to score at least one goal. We started the match in the right way, we had a great chance to score an early goal for a lead but this evening the ball couldn't find the way to their goal" said Burić.
