"Our oponent was really good and well organized in the first 20 minutes. We were a little bit surprised with that, and didn't respond well. We can't take as an excuse that we had strong, 120-minute practice this morning. In the second half we corrected few things, and showed that we wanted this victory. However, it was 1-0 for Vorwärts at the halftime. Being better and missing so many good chances is not something that should happen against better teams," said head coach Damir Burić after the final test game at the end of the training camp in Austria.
Overall, coach Burić is very pleased with a job his team had done in Slovenia and Austria.
"My boys conducted these preparations in the best possible way, and they deserve my deep bow. They worked hard, in those two weeks we had only one afternoon off. We achieved three victories, and it's normal, I wouldn't like it's been otherwise. But there is no euphoria. This team must create its winning mentality through victories," says coach Burić.
Today, on Sunday, team travels back to Split, and Burić scheduled next practice for Monday night.
