Nikola Vlašić's first season in Hajduk first team brought some records which will be quite a challenge for all future young players.
Although still underage (he was born on October 4, 1997), this young mid-fielder already collected 36 caps with the first team.
Just like his peer Andrija Balić, Nikola Vlašić skipped U-19, and stepped on the main stage straight from the U-17.
His first match immediatelly turned into a record-breaking collection. When he debuted against Dundalk FC in Ireland, Nikola was only 16 and 286 days. That made him the all-time youngest debutant in Hajduk's European matches. Scoring a goal in a 2-0 victory made him also the youngest Hajduk's scorer evet in European competition.
Just a little bit later, Vlašić scored against Zadar when he was 17 and 29 days, becoming the youngest Hajduk scorer in the history of Croatian football league.
Yes, this was definitely a record-breaking season for Nikola Vlašić.
