On Sunday, Hajduk plays an away match against Istra 1961 in Pula, kick - off 15:00. It will be their MAXtv First League, round 31 match. Their first this season's match in Pula ended in a goalless draw.
Coach Joan Carrillo held a pre-match press conference on Saturday and announced the match:
"The atmosphere in the team is very good. When you win points you should take advantage of the opportunity to be happy about it. A good atmosphere is generally seen in the club. A very good period is behind us. We know it's all just currently. We are aware that we have not done anything yet. We have to continue this way. We can't get off this train, jump out of the rails. We have not yet achieved what we want" said Carrillo.
"We came back to the third place and in order to keep it, we should continue to win the remaining six rounds. We have already seen how dangerous Istra is in the match that we played in Split, as well as in the one they played against Rijeka. This is a team trying to play offensive game, especially over the wings and backs. They are an attacking team with personality. Rijeka also needed the win against them, and the match ended in a draw. We will not get into such traps, we go to Pula to win. We only think about the match against Istra. We will certainly play better against Osijek if we win Istra" concluded Carrillo.
