Hajduk has won its fifth out of the seven matches in this season's HT First Division. At Poljud, they defeated Istra 1961 2:0 and the goalscorers were Ante Erceg in the fifth minute, on the assist of Ahmed Said Said and the final result was set by Nikola Vlasic, who scored from a penalty kick in the 31st minute.

After the match, coach Joan Carrillo said:

"It could have been a complicated match for us, after we got exhausted in this week's match against Everton. But it wasn't. We could have scored two more goals but we didn't. But we may be satisfied, we scored early in the match and turned the match in the right direction, so that we can win three new points. Of course I would be happier if we won all the matches, but we didn't. In the first part of this season, we  mostly played away, now we are going to play five matches at Poljud. We have to keep winning".
