After the match against Everton, Hajduk coach Joan Carrillo held a press conference at which he thanked the team for an excellent match and the fans for their passionate support from the first to the last moment that motivated the team in their effort to make a big result twist against the renowned opponent whom Hajduk has really outplayed in Split.

"Our game is very good, we were alike Everton, we were very competitive, we should have won. With the help of our supporters, which is something the English clubs are not accustomed to at their stadiums, we made a step forward, but we needed to make at least two. I'm not quite as pleased but I want to thank our fans who were fantastic all the time".

He also commented the conceded goal.

"It was an action with a lot of luck, there is a reason why this player was paid that much, but the goal was a matter of luck. Out of 200 such shots, one might get into the goal. But we got back to our game soon after that and I think we did not have luck this evening".
