Mijo Caktas was happy and satisfied after scoring the first goal in his first appearance after returning to Hajduk. The midfielder scored in the 61st minute, after a great cross of Franck Ohandza, on whose assist he scored. A goal that is practically a copy of the action that took place two and a half years ago in Norway, in Europa League qualifications.
"When I saw this pitch, it was only important to me that we win, but when I scored the goal, the feeling was indescribable. After the match ended, in the dressing room, I said to our captain Zoran Nizic that this goal reminds me of the one against Stromsgodset. Ohandza is truly a fantastic player, we have always had excellent cooperation on the pitch, and we have again proved this today in Vinkovci" Caktas didn't hide his enthusiasm after the match.
The pitch in Vinkovci was not in an ideal condition, but despite that, Hajduk proved that they were a better opponent and deserved to win. It's the fifth consecutive win for Kopic's team and a great overture for the derby that is awaiting them in seven days in Zagreb.
"We won, although in the first half an hour we were not at our best. Conditions and pitch were not at the highest level, but after the first goal everything was easier and we are all happy and satisfied. We really entered in the spring part of the season in the right way and now we turn to the big derby. We have a lot of great players, we are a serious team and we can do great things".
