Head coach Damir Buric held his last press conference in 2015 in order to analyse the first half of the season and to give his impressions about the team, results and further season expectations.
"We played 32 matches, it was exhausting and we felt consequences of it on some championship matches that were played below expected because of international matches this summer. While we played UEFA Europa League qualifications, we lost too many points in the First League. When we were eliminated in the EL playoff, we had a great period in which we didn't lose many consecutive matches and we didn't concieve a goal. It lasted quite long. At this moment, we are 6 points behind the leaders, we showed our value but this team is really young and lacks experience to easily score. It is a motivation to keep working hard and I expect the team is going to be much better in the remaining part of the championship. It was expected of us to qualify to Cup semi - finals and we want to win the Cup. Our goals are still the same, we want our young players to develop appropriately and we want to play UEFA international competitions."
"Our players are in average 22 years old. They have their ups and downs, some of them are only 18 years old but they already made a great progress. We have many young players among starters, possibly even the most among European teams".
"My favorite moment with the team was in UEFA EL qualifications, when we defetead Sillamae 6:2 in Dugopolje. All these matches were important, we defeated Koper 4:1, then also Stromsgodset. We had crowded matches and the atmosphere was unforgettable. I enjoyed being part of it. This is the reason to live and work for."
"I don't want to point out at any individual in the team, I believe the team was great. The team is the most important player and each player has to sometimes make some kind of sacrifice for the team but it is the only direction that we can take. The club is above all of us" concluded Buric.
