After the match Hajduk - Rijeka, head coach Damir Buric spoke to the media:

"At this moment, it is really hard for us to accept the final result of this match. Hajduk was playing a nice football, the team was fighting, struggling, dominating, we had many goal chances against such a good opponent as Rijeka. The result doesn't confirm it, I'm not happy with it. The players are unhappy for the result too. They don't understand what happened. Football can sometimes be unjust, sometimes a better team doesn't win a match. But it was a good match".

"At the beginning of the second half, there was a five to ten minutes long period in which Rijeka dominated and we conceded a goal. On the other hand, we needed many chances to score our first goal. It has to do with the team's experience, Rijeka has their match routine and confidence. We were really trying hard to win this game and I feel sorry for my team, their play and attitude towards this match were not awarded and this is what I regret for" concluded Buric.
