The match between Hajduk and Istra 1961 at Poljud was decided after the first half an hour. Hajduk won thanks to Ante Erceg and Nikola Vlasic, who scored in the 5th and 31st minute for 2:0, an advantage that Hajduk kept till the end of the match.

"It was difficult because it was really hot.. Luckily we scored a quick goal, we didn't get too tired. It was important to take three points and go for a break in a positive atmosphere. Before the game I told the teammates that we believe in ourselves, that we can be in the top of the table this season, we have to act like this and then it will be fine" said Ante Erceg, who scored a goal yesterday and earned a penalty kick for Hajduk, from which Nikola Vlasic, yesterday's captain, set the final result.

Now there are two weeks of international break. In the next round, Hajduk is playing an away match against Osijek in Osijek and then Hajduk will play five games in a row at Poljud stadium.
