Hajduk invited our 88 year-old supporter Mara Bodrozic - Selak to visit Poljud stadium once again, as she came to support Hajduk for the first time on our last match against Rijeka
Granny Mara was welcomed by Aljosa Basic, our Marketing Director, and she gladly took a tour through the Trophy halls and other stadium attractions. On this occasion, Hajduk provided gifts, including a membership card and a season ticket for East stands, so that she can come and support Hajduk on each following match with her children and grandchildren.
Mara had a great wish to watch one match of Hajduk at Poljud stadium, which is why her son and grandchildren took her there last Sunday. Among four generations of Bodrozic - Selak family that came to the Adriatic derby, Mara evoked deepest sympathies of the fans on the East stands of Poljud.
Even though most of her family members work in Germany, many of them came to the derby from a small village Svib next to Cista Provo, where she lives. Apart from Mara, there were also her great grandson Ivan (9), grandson Ante (31) and son Mate (63).
"I prayed to God that Hajduk wins. They unfortunately didn't but I believe He will help next time" says Mara, who usually watches Hajduk games on TV.
"I have always been praying for Hajduk and now I'm going to pray even more passionately" she said, while standing on the Poljud main pitch for the first time.
Aljosa Basic wished her a lot of health, long life and to visit our games as often as possible.
"I truly hope I would come again in the future. Everything for my Hajduk! All my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and hopefully soon even their children are supporting Hajduk, so I'm also a big fan" said this nice old woman.
