A member of Hajduk first team, 19-year old Elvir Maloku just got an invitation for Albania's U-21 team's two friendly matches in June.

Young Albania's team plays against Kazakhstan on June 12 in Bulgaria, and against Sweden on June 16, in Sweden.

Elvir Maloku was born in Croatian city of Rijeka, and already played for some younger Croatia's categories. However, due to his Albanian origins he was allowed to choose whether he would play for this country's team. And he made a choice.

"I have decided to accept invitation from the Albanian football federation, and in the future I will play for Albania's national team. As far as this specific call is concerned, I will talk with new coach Mr Burić, because I don't want to miss the beginning of the new season practices. In a matter of fact, my wish is to proof myself to our coach ahead of European matches," said young Hajduk forward Elvir Maloku.
