The first leg of the first qualifying round for the European League Hajduk will play vs JK Sillamäe Kalev in Rakvare, Estonia on Thursday, July 2, and the rematch is scheduled for Thursday, July 9 in Dugopolje at Hrvatski vitezovi stadium.

This had been officially confirmed after Estonian club declined Hajduk's offer to exchange locations for two legs.

"We did everything to exchange matches because Poljud was already leased to the Ultra Europe festival on July 9, but Sillamäe declined our offer to play the first leg at Poljud, and rematch in Estonia," said Hajduk chairman Marin Brbić.

Right after the draw in Nyon Brbić made a contact with the management of JK Sillamäe Kalev. UEFA allowed clubs 48 hours to try to achieve an agreement.

"We offered Estonians to cover all their expenses in Croatia, but they had their reasons to decline this. We wanted to play this match at Poljud, to make as many of our fans as possible to attend it. Because of them we are sorry Estonians refused an exchange. As far as the competition is concerned, it's better for us to be a host in the rematch, because we will have more time to prepare for the biggest Croatian derby against Dinamo on the new season opening at Maksimir Stadium," says Brbić.

Dugopolje stadium has 4,500 seats, and Hajduk will give its subscribers an advantage in purchasing a ticket. More details soon.
