Despite the dominance and better game, Hajduk lost from Slaven Belupo 1:0 at Poljud. The only goal was scored by Mateas Delic in the 71st minute. In the second half, Hajduk remained without Franck Ohandza who was sent off, they managed to create several good chances in that period as well, but Slaven Belupo nevertheless secured their first win at Poljud.

"We've only played on their half, we tried to break their defensive block, but it just didn't work well, and they punished one of our mistakes, which eventually brought them points. We knew before the game that it would not be easy, we gave our best, but it's just how football is, you sometimes lose, though you are much better" said captain Zoran Nizic after the game, and continued:

"Unfortunately every series comes to an end, but we have to get over from this immediately, such a match had to happen sooner or later, now it's up to us to learn something out of it. This showed us that we can't relax for a moment" Nizic concluded.

Josip Radosevic also shared his impressions about the match.

"Tough match, they only defended and waited patiently for counterattack, we were looking for a solution, we had a couple of chances, but in the end they scored the winning goal. Their block was very good, we have tried to pass the ball out wide but it simply wasn't going as we planned. After we remained with 10 players, we tried to attack, we created a few chances, but it just didn't work. We didn't underestimate anybody, we did our best, we entered the match fully concentrated, but it was such a match, we will for sure make a good analysis of it and prepare for the next match" Radosevic added.
