On Wednesday at 13:05, Hajduk got the decision by CFF's Disciplinary judge for MAXtv First League on sanctions related to the events during and after the match Hajduk - Rijeka. It reads as follows:

At the match Hajduk - Rijeka, group of Hajduk supporters Torcida on the north stand burned on several occasions large number of pyrotechnic devices, accompanied by chants of hate, discrimination, racism and chauvinism, brought banners with xenophobic and offensive content. The match has been interrupted twice (...). Since this is a frequent violation of Article 67 and 88 of the Disciplinary Rules on championship matches played at the City Stadium Poljud, Hajduk was punished by playing the next two home games behind closed doors and fined in the amount of 80 000 HRK.

This decision refers to the next two First League matches in April, against Slaven Belupo and Cibalia.

This is the official Club's reaction to the decision:

For us, the worst fine is the football without spectators. We are aware of our part of responsibility, but punishing those who are chanting for their team in the proper way, due to individuals, is certainly not the right solution. We need to work together to prevent such events happen again, but it will not be done by avoiding problems. Hajduk with no audience is not Hajduk nor football without spectators will change things for the better. We are aware that in these circumstances the appeal to this decision does not make sense.

Hajduk will continue to fight for the healing and uprising of Croatian football by all legitimate means, as well as to condemn all forms of violence, regardless who committed them. Only the right path can lead to the right goal. No matter how long the road is.
