Fran Tudor got the opportunity to play for Croatia in the China Cup semi-final match in Nanning as he entered as a substitute from the 57th minute. Croatia was defeated by Chile after penalties but the regular time match ended in a 1:1 draw. Tudor came in when Chile was already leading 1:0 and in the 77th minute, Franko Andrijasevic scored an equalizer on his assist.
Head coach Ante Cacic left Josip Juranovic on the substitute bench. On Saturday, January 14, 2017, Croatia will play for the third place against the host China.
